Garlandale Football Club is based in Cape Town, South Africa. The club is affiliated to the Cape Town Tygerberg Local Football Association. Garlandale Football Club was established in 1990 starting with only one senior team and twelve members. Within it’s 30+ years of operation the club now has a youth development program and at least three senior teams.

Our Vision

Garlandale Football Club must:

  • Manage, continually improve and be regarded as one of the Western Cape’s leading football clubs, on and off the field.
  • Increase interest in our games, promote accessibility and ensure that media exposure is used to the optimum effect.
  • Generate increased commercial value, using the resulting revenues to further enhance our game and strengthen the long term future of the club and its members.
  • Use our power and influence responsibly to improve the game at Cape Town Tygerberg Local Football Association and SAFA Cape Town through partnership with the soccer fraternity and other bodies.
  • Use our resources to develop playing talent that will provide for international success with the national teams at all levels.

Our Objective

  • To foster, promote, encourage, advance and develop the game of Football.
  • To accept or otherwise acquire all such trophies as may be approved by the Club.
  • To bring about and foster a spirit of goodwill and understanding amongst sportsmen and sportswomen.

Our Aim

  • Rebuild and increase the club, player and supporter base.
  • Establish a stable and committed Executive Committee.
  • Focus on building a cohesive club – moving forward in one agreed direction.
  • Focus on teaching skills to prepare players, coaches, administrators and referees.
  • Present the Association as a professional unit.

Development

  • Ensure Coaching staff have advanced knowledge of the game and associated skills.
  • Actively work to keep coaching principles up to date.
  • Provide an environment of learning, and enjoyment.
  • Set small goals to teach players – particular at youth level.
  • Coaches will be aware of, and be encouraged to abide by the Constitution and Code of Conduct of the club.
  • Coaches and Players must represent the club with pride and 100% commitment.
  • Coaches to assist club wherever possible to help integrate the youth into the senior ranks
